Unmute

Who we are

We are the unmute button.

The world is full of things people quietly tolerate. Prices that creep, rules that insult, decisions nobody asked for. Everyone feels it. Almost nobody says it, because one voice alone changes nothing and everyone knows it.

Unmute exists to collect those voices and make them impossible to ignore. One place where a strongly held opinion, a serious cause, or a gloriously petty grievance can become a number so loud that newsrooms, brands, and governments have to look at it.

Our mission: give the people's voice real visibility. Not a like. Not a repost that dies in an hour. A counted, growing, undeniable number with real money behind it.

Why $1

Free outrage changed nothing.

A petition with 10 million free signatures is a screenshot. It trends for a day, gets a news cycle, and dies. Everyone who signed it spent three seconds and forgot. Some of the biggest viral petitions ever weren't even real; the counters were simulated.

Now imagine the headline instead reads: “A million people PAID to say this.” That is not a screenshot. That is a fact with a dollar amount attached, and dollar amounts are the only language institutions are fluent in.

So on Unmute, a signature costs at least $1. Your dollar does two things:

1

It makes the number undeniable

Bots don't pay. Trolls don't pay. A paid signature count is a verified measure of how much people actually care. The strongest social proof a cause can have.

2

It funds the megaphone

Contributions support the platform and fund promotion of petitions across social media: ads, creators, placements. The louder a cause gets, the harder we push it. That's the deal, in the open.

For creators.

You bring the opinion the group chat already agrees with. We bring the stage, the feed, and the payment rails. You keep 80% of every signature, with payouts from $25.

Start with something people feel: sharp, specific, a little dangerous. “Ban ___.” “Bring back ___.” “Make ___ illegal.” Then share it where your people already are.

Common questions

Is my $1 a donation to the cause?+

No, and we won't pretend it is. Your contribution supports the platform and the promotion of petitions. Money never goes to governments, charities, or the subjects of petitions, and it is not tax deductible.

Who gets the money?+

On petitions started by the community, 80% goes to the person who started it and 20% runs the platform. On petitions we start ourselves, it funds operations and the promotion machine.

Will signing here change the law?+

Maybe. Petitions here aren't legally binding; no online petition is. What they are is pressure: a paid, counted, publicized number that's hard to look away from. Outcomes are never guaranteed.

Can I get a refund?+

Unused wallet credits are refundable anytime. Signature contributions are refundable within 14 days if the petition was removed for breaking our rules. Just write to support.

Why should I trust your numbers?+

Because faking them would cost real money. Every count on this site is a completed $1+ payment. No bots, no simulated counters, no inflated totals.
