Every subscription on Earth can be started in ten seconds. Try leaving. Suddenly there's a phone line with a hold queue, a "retention specialist" with a script, an offer wall, and a cancellation page hidden four menus deep.
Regulators tried. The US click-to-cancel rule was struck down on procedure in 2025, and companies exhaled. The dark patterns are still there.
We demand it plainly: if you can subscribe in one click, you must be able to cancel in one click. Same screen difficulty, both directions, everywhere in North America.
A subscription should be a service, not a hostage situation.
